In a remarkable milestone for the education sector, about 900 education graduates of the Federal University Lokoja (FUL) have been officially inducted as registered professional teachers by the Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN).
The event, which marked the second induction ceremony of the Faculty of Education, took place earlier today and was graced by the University Management, Faculty members, and the national leadership of TRCN.
The induction exercise is a major step in professionalizing teaching in Nigeria, as graduates who successfully completed their programs are now recognized as certified teachers, fully registered to practice within the profession.
Speaking at the ceremony, representatives from TRCN emphasized the importance of continuous learning, discipline, and adherence to professional ethics, urging the new inductees to uphold the integrity of the teaching profession in Nigeria.
University officials also commended the graduates for their dedication and encouraged them to serve as role models in their future classrooms and beyond.
